Hi Avinash,
You made a good choice by choosing SRM, it is one of the best colleges in India. You don't need to appear in MAT, you should apply for SRMCAT, your admission will depend upon your scores. You need to have above 60% score in the qualifying exams to study in SRM.

The course for GMAT and CAT is not significantly different. CAT is primarily focused on mathematics and English. GMAT focuses on critical reasoning as well. Mathematics for CAT is going to be much difficult than GMAT mathematics.
Reading section in CAT and GMAT are quite similar. Then, there is a sentence correction section in GMAT, which is different than CAT. Critical reasoning questions for GMAT are not at all covered in CAT. Also, GMAT paper is more time intensive as compared to CAT.

It is Rs 15.65 lakhs for 2 years which includes Hostel and Mess charges and Rs 35k is refundable.
Last year, the cut-off was 86.5 percentile. Your admission will depend upon your overall score in SNAP 2016 and GE-Pi-WAT process based on the following breakup:
SNAP score out of 150 scaled down to 50

Christ mostly look into composite score and not the percentile. You need composite score of more than 600 to apply. This is just an eligibility criteria only and will not be considered for further admission procedure.I should say it is going to be very competitive. But,as long as you are up to date with current affairs and good with your communication skills it shouldn't be too difficult to get through. :) Also make sure that you are well prepared with the topics which will be given to you on the website.

Cutoff is same for all the courses in PGDM.
Last year cutoff for CAT- 86 percentile , XAT - 78percentile and CMAT - 96 percentile.
After shortlisting based on cut off there is GD and PI process. As a result Merit list is generated considering various factors in a candidate profile.
The courses are offered based on SIMSR merit rank.
