CAT is a highly competitive examination. Candidates have to score very high marks to seek admission in top B-schools. If you do not get admission in any of the top 30 B-schools, you can reappear with better preparation. In order to mitigate your risks of losing time, you may also appear in other MBA entrance examinations such as XAT, MAT, etc. You can also do MBA from Tier 2 and 3 B-schools.

Hi,
CMAT Feb cutoff varies on participating institutes. On an average 85-90 percentile is required to get into a decent institute under CMAT. For top institutes like Jamna Lal Bajaj and Goa Institute you require above 99 percentile. I hope this helps.

Hi Vijay,
It depends on your category if general 99.8+ would be sufficient. However, percentile is not the only criteria but it is still the first step, IIMs look for overall potential and capabilities of students in selection.
All the best.
