On the first place, always give preference to regular MBA. Going with your query, if external MBA means distance learning then you don't seem to give any exam. You can directly enroll for the course from the institute you are willing to take admission from. This is what I know. Kindly, confirm before considering it.

I would suggest you not to take in the sense as there are many complaints about Noida Center from students. But, TIME is a great institute to learn. So, I think you can prefer other than Noida.

You can appear for this exam thrice in a year, next exam will be in December of this year. For preparation you should also concentrate on current affairs, aptitude and comprehensive.

The eligibility criteria for MBA at Manipal university is Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognised university with aggregate marks of 50% or above. Based on your 49% in graduation degree, you are not eligible for admission in Manipal University if you are a general category student.
