Dear Preethi,
CAT stands for Common admission test. It is required to get admission for management programmes in the colleges like IIMs and other business schools. Quantitative aptitude, general English, general knowledge are the main and major parts to prepare for the exam. There are a lot of books available in the market. You can start with RS Aggarwal for maths, go for Wren and martin for English and go for GKgrip for current affairs.
All the best.

Yes Rahul,
Over the period of time, NMAT changes their selection procedures. I would suggest you to go for CAT/MAT. Don't rely on NMAT.
All the best.

The top most college for MBA is IIM-K. Other than this IMI, IISWBM and Praxis are some of the good colleges. In order to enter into IIM-K, you need to score above 90 percentile in CAT. And for other colleges, you need to get above 70%tile.

Two months is not very long time but with good efforts, you can definitely crack it. You just need to practice more and more and have to focus on your weak areas.

You must start preparing for CAT in the final semester of your graduation. Join a good coaching institute for its preparation, if possible.

CMAT is one of the exam considered for All India seats. Other exams considered were MHCET, CAT,XAT,and MAT . You can give any of the mentioned exams to be eligible to apply for those seats. Typically the cut off is 99.99 percentile.

It depends from institute to institute. If you enrol for the full time coaching programs of the good ones like TIME, IMS or Career Launcher, it will cost you anything between 30000-45000 for a full year course. However, they also offer crash courses and online courses at cheaper rates. You can give them a call to get more information.
