The cut-off details have not been released yet. Please refer various mba sites for the previous years cut-off. If you are aiming to appear for CAT this October, then I think it's high time to start preparation. Improve your reading and writing skills, apart from communication skills. Apart from the usual CAT course preparation that you have to do by default, go through newspapers, articles of your interest everyday. Work on your speed, mock CAT exams can help.

Hi Pranav,
Engineering is generally preferred. The other option can be BBA. Most of the students in IIMs are from good engineering colleges.
If you are opting for any non-engineering course, then my recommendation would be to go only if you are getting into a top college for that course.

Hello Harsh,
In order to take admission in a top rank MBA college, I would suggest you to give CAT, as almost all the premier Bschools offer admission on the basis of your CAT score. Other exams like XAT, NMAT, IIFT, SNAP should also be considered. These should be your first priority. You can also give CMAT and MAT but they don't cover many top rank MBA colleges.

If you want to apply for VIT University to pursue MBA then you need to check the Eligibility criteria mentioned by the VIT University . If the percentile score mentioned by VIT University is above 50 percentile then you will easily get enrolled for VIT . All it depends upon the college, institute or university's mentioned eligibility criteria .
