Candidates from other states like Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh can also appear for the exam at designated centers outside Maharashtra. The centre for the test depends upon the region of the candidate. The announcement was made by IIFT in August that it will accept CAT score for admission and that aspirants should register for it. CAT 2023 exam will be held on November 26, 2023.

IIFT admission forms are expected to be released in October, which the aspirants have to fill to be eligible for selection and shortlisting for WAT-PT round of the MBA admission process.

Until last year, the IIFT entrance exam was held nationwide in the month of December. It was conducted by the NTA.

In the CAT exam, there is no upper limit at all to the age for appearing.  The CAT exam's only eligibility criteria is that candidates should hold relevant degrees with the required minimum percentage. The CAT is also open to students who are in the last year of their bachelor's degree programs. Also, students should obtain a minimum of 50% for the open category and at least 45% for the reserved category (SC/ST/PwD). The ones that have work experience will stand to get the job because experience is an add-on or a plus. However, work experience is not compulsory, as it will be a requirement for CAT exam eligibility in 2024.
