Students who fulfill basic eligibility requirements and have appeared for or are planning to appear for the entrance tests (MH- CET/ CMAT/ CAT/ XAT) are eligible to apply for MBA at SIMMC (Suryadatta Institute of Management and Mass Communication), Pune. There are 180 seats on which admissions are done based on the previous qualifying exam score, entrance test score as well as the performance in the Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. The minimum percentage required by a candidate in XAT depends on the current year’s students’ performance. However, for the past years, the XAT cutoff has remained above 80% and has been increasing every year.

The Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, is unlikely to accept candidates with 70% in CAT, as the CAT percentile required for admission to top MBA colleges generally ranges from 80 to 99. 

Also, the cutoff according to current year's scenario is 85 percentile. So, you have to score at least 85 percentile to get into the Institute of Management, Banaras Hindu Univesity.

However, there are several other colleges whose cutoff lies between 70 percentile to 80 percentile. Some of these include the Institute of Management Development and Research, Pune, Acharya Bangalore Business School, Bangalore, and SIES College of Management Studies.

Therefore, the chance of getting into Institute of Management, Banaras Hindu University is low in 70 percentile. But there are other options that you can consider.
