To be eligible to get admission to IIMs for MBA course, it's mandatory to appear and qualify for CAT. There is no provision of direct admission available for admission to IIMs. This is the main and only qualfying exam valid for all IIMs. Aspirants seeking for admission to PGP course at IIM Rohtak must qualify for CAT with a valid score. This is a national-level Common Aptitude Test (CAT) conducted particularly for the selection of eligible candidates for Management courses.

The eligibility criteria for the MBA courses may differ from college to college. However, the basic eligibility criteria for top MBA college in Mumbai are as follows:

  • Candidates must have passed graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised university as some basic eligibility criteria for MBA (full-time).
  • Most of the institutes follow the minimum score criteria for graduation which is 50 percent on average or equivalent. For reserved category students, the minimum score is 45 percent in aggregate.

The difficulty level of IRMASAT and SNAP may be subjective and varies from one to another. However, there are a few differences between the two exams that can help one understand their relative difficulty:

  • IRMASAT primarily assesses candidate's social awarness and analytical reasoning skills along with communication with a focus on rural and social issues. It includes a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

FMS Delhi admission to MBA course is based on CAT cutoffs. Candidates who meet the CAT 2023 cut off are considered by FMS Delhi for the Personal Interaction (PI) round of MBA admission 2024-25 batch. Going as per the last few year trends, candidates are expected to have a good score of 98 percentile in CAT and have a composite score of 47.520, in order to be able to participate in further rounds. Yes, IMT Nagpur accepts XAT score for admission to the PGDM programme. IMT Nagpur admission to its PGDM programmes are completely entrance-based and depend upon candidates’ performance in several national-level MBA entrance exam scores. On the basis of certain parameters, including completion of application form, research abstract, exam scores, past academic performance and relevant work experience, candidates will be called for an interview for final selection.
