There is an estimation of 60 to 70 cut-off in Cmat in few B-Schools like IIMS Pune, JBS Noida, Delhi business School , FIIB, Delhi and other 3-4B-Schools. So, according to this there is 50-50 chance of getting an interview call.

One of the key differences between CAT and XAT syllabus is the varying topics and sections. CAT does not have Decision Making section and GK section but XAT exam has DM and GK as separate sections. Another key difference is the XAT Vs CAT difficulty level. XAT is considered a bit more difficult than CAT exam.

One should start self preparing for CAT as soon as possible during first year of UG if one started its preparation, it will be easy to complete the syllabus within the time with better preparation. So, as per my preference one should start preparing along with their UG.
