There are rounds of counselling. For example, you scored 500 in an entrance and there are 5 colleges ranked. According to your score, you will get college no. 3 in the first counselling and others with a higher score than you will get no. 1 and no. 2. Now one of the candidate for some reason has left the college no. 2 that he got in counselling round 1. That seat is vacant now. Now, in the second round of counselling, your seat that you got will get upgraded to college no. 2 from 3. That's how a counselling process occurs for almost all the entrances. Basically, upgradation of seats in various colleges occur from the one that you get in round 1.

CAT 2022 Registration has started on August 3, 2022, at 10:00 AM. You can apply for CAT exam 2022 till September 14, 2022 (5:00 PM). You need a Bachelors degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) from a recognised university to register for CAT exam. CAT 2022: IIM Bangalore will conduct CAT 2022 exam on November 27, 2022, in 3 slots. To complete CAT 2022 Registration, you need to create CAT login, fill the application form, upload the required documents, and pay the fees online. CAT 2022 registration fees is increased to INR 2300 for GN/ EWS/ NC-OBC candidates and INR 1150 for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates. As per CAT 2022 eligibility, final year students can also apply for the exam. There is no upper age limit to take CAT exam. Hope it helps.
