Yes you can go for applying form for private colleges after CMAT exam also I have one suggestion for you please do find whether the college you are applying for ie private one may be it's affiliated with CMAT.

1st week of August to Last week of September 2021 for CAT registration with at least 50% CGPA for Gen and 45% for others.

The minimum eligibility criteria of CAT is a Bachelor degree in any disciplines. So Diploma Engineering students are not eligible for CAT exam. You have to complete the Graduation first.

The last date to register for IBT MAT is March 9, 2021, for the last IBT MAT 2021 exam which will be held on March 13, 2021. MAT Registration the Last Date to Apply for IBT MAT closes a few days before the test date. The computer-based and Paper-based MAT exams depend upon the Covid-19 prevailing situation. Good luck.

For giving CAT exam, you should either be a graduate with a minimum of 50% marks from a UGC recognised university or should have completed a professional degree such as CA/CMA/CS or a final year student awaiting final semester results. You have not written about the NMAT percentile you obtained. However the expected NMAT cutoff of AMITY University Noida and VIT Vellore are given below for an idea.
1. Amity University : 65 percentile
2. VIT Vellore : 85 percentile.

Your all the percentages are good to appear CAT exam but your Bachelor degree must be from AICTU or UGC or MHRD.
