MAT 2019 score for December exam will be valid for MBA admission 2020 in more than 400 MBA colleges in India. The schedule of paper Based and computer based MAT 2019 has been revised by AIMA as against its September exam schedule when Paper based MAT was held after computer based MAT. It is expected that after conducting computer based MAT. AIMA may conduct another paper based MAT exam sometime late in December.

Yes, you may start preparing for CAT. There is no right time to start preparing for the CAT Exam. Please understand that regular preparation matters a lot more than the total amount of time invested. What I am trying to say is that if you are studying for 20 hours a week, it is much better if you study for 3 hours a day instead of 10 hours on Saturday and Sunday each. It is the discipline which matters. If you are one of those candidates who are not so good with a particular section; then you need to start early. At Great Lakes, we do not have fixed cutoffs and any minimum scores are decided on after the completion of the application process and review of the overall applicant pool. Since the applicant pool varies in number and quality every year, the cutoffs may vary as well. As a broad indicator based on the past experience, a 90+ percentile in XAT/CAT, 600+ score in GMAT would be considered suitable subject to meeting other criteria. The hand on guide to analytical reasoning and logical reasoning by Peeyush Bhardwaj (Arihant publications) is an excellent book to prepare the students for every kind of b-school entrance exams. The book is very comprehensive and has a good proportion of every kind of AR/LR questions with solutions and tips.

Hi,
It would be advisable for those in this group to devote around 25-30 hours per week towards preparation for CAT exam. Every year, a lot students who join T.I.M.E. coaching center for 3-4 months of CAT classroom programme crack CAT exam and secure admission into the IIMs.

The cut-off marks for IIT Roorkee MBA programme is based on the CAT percentile score, but the final admission is determined by the following: CAT Score, Academic Performance, GD and PI score, and Professional Experience. IIT Roorkee MBA cut off is decided by the IIT Roorkee admission committee separately for each year.
