The UGC has recognised Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan, which was founded in 2009. Almost 37 courses are available at the college in 7 streams. Admissions is based on merit as per the grades/marks obtained in qualifying examination, provided the student meets the eligibility requirements.you can get direct admission, but the candidates should have passed with minimum 50% marks in 12 Examination with at least five subjects from a recognised Board or University. The main exam accepted for MBA course is MAT . It is the best college in this region in terms of quality placements in companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The average salary package offered was around INR 4-5 LPA. A good number of internships were provided by the college placement cell as they had many good contacts.

 However, as on Mar 7, 2023, NIT Jalandhar recorded 73.79% placement rate in the academic year 2022-2023. The overall the highest and average package offered during the NIT Jalandhar placement 2023 stood at INR 51 LPA and INR 12.44 LPA, respectively.

On the other hand Around 95-98% of students got placed in our college. The salary package offered ranges between 2 LPA - 5 LPA. And the highest Packages Offers at GNA University - Rs. 26 Lakhs.

But it only depends on your study, how you put your efforts in study, learning new things, make ourself better. But in my opinion National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar is best for MBA.

Whether MBA at World University of Design (WUD) is better than School of Design, UPES depends on your individual needs and preferences.

World University of Design (WUD)

• Strengths:

  • Strong industry reputation: WUD is a well-known and respected design university in India.
  • Practical focus: WUD's curriculum is designed to give students the practical skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the workplace.
  • Strong industry connections: WUD has a strong network of contacts with leading design firms and companies,  which gives its graduates access to a wide range of placement opportunities.
  • Dedicated placement cell: WUD's dedicated placement cell provides students with support and guidance throughout the placement process.

• Weaknesses:

  • Relatively high fees: WUD's fees are higher than UPES.
  • Competition for placements: WUD is a popular university,  so there is a lot of competition for placements.

School of Design, UPES

• Strengths:

  • Affordable fees: UPES is a relatively affordable university.
  • Strong technical focus: UPES's curriculum is more focused on technical skills than WUD's.
  • Strong design infrastructure: UPES has a strong design infrastructure,  including state-of-the-art studios and laboratories.
  • International exposure: UPES has collaborations with universities abroad,  which can give students the opportunity to study abroad or intern with international companies.

• Weaknesses:

  • Less well-known brand: UPES is not as well-known as WUD,  so graduates may have more difficulty finding jobs.
  • Weaker industry connections: UPES does not have as strong a network of industry contacts as WUD.
  • Less hands-on learning: UPES's curriculum is less focused on hands-on learning than WUD's.
