Yes, you should definitely join this. It is one of the best b-school in India and it also comes under top 20.

There is no difference between MBA in an university or Business School. You must chose MBA institute based on its ranking. You can refer to Shikha.com MBA link for ranking of various management institutes.

To get admission in IIM, you need to score good marks in class 10th, 12th, graduation and CAT exam.

You have to opt specialization in your second year. First year is common and you don't have to give choice.
Selection should based on your choice only not based on type of job, or money or if your friends taking it so you have to take it.

In your initial working days probably you will do marketing only for the bank or NBFCs. If you had taken finance then you can only sell credit cards, loans, etc.while in the case of marketing you can do any type of marketing.
