Yes, most medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, both government and private, provide hostel accommodation for students. Government college hostels are very affordable and are often located within the campus or nearby. Private college hostels vary in quality and amenities but are generally comfortable. For female students, separate hostel facilities with security and warden supervision are mandatory as per NMC norms. Hostel fees are charged separately from tuition fees.

The 12-month compulsory rotating internship is the last year of the MBBS course in Andhra Pradesh. The interns are posted in various clinical departments of the attached teaching hospital. The departments include General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Community Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Radiology, and Emergency Medicine. Interns stay in each posting for a few weeks to a couple of months. A monthly stipend is given to the interns as per state government norms.
