These can be availed by students who meet the criteria set by the government. The Eligibility criteria for MBBS at Medical college of Kolkata is pretty much similar to other goverment medical colleges. The MBBS course seats are allotted on the basis of NEET-UG score and rank. Therefore, the candidates will have to apply for the NEET-UG examination conducted by the NTA for the admissions for MBBS. After the NEET-UG results, the cutoff is released by the MCC or the Medical counselling committee based on various factors. The minimum NEET percentage required for MBBS depends on the category to which the candidate belongs to. For exam the minimum cutoff for unreserved categories is 50%, while for SC/ST and OBC it is 40%. The Medical counselling committee or MCC releases the minimum marks or the cut off marks.
