It's challenging to determine if students receive a good return on investment (ROI) after completing MBBS from RMCH. MBBS students from deemed medical institutes receive monthly salary packages of less than Rs.50,000 even after completing their studies. However, ROI of MBBS in the USA, where international students receive a significant return on investment, with the average mid-career salary of MBBS graduates being 223,000 USD (1.84 crores INR). It is recommended to conduct further research and consider factors such as accreditation, faculty qualifications, infrastructure, research opportunities, and student reviews to make an informed decision about the ROI of completing MBBS from RMCH.

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has a dedicated training and career guidance center for placing students in their desired job roles and training them to be ready for the workplace early on in their careers. According to the placement report of 2023, the placement rate at BFUHS was 80%, and the average package offered was INR 5 LPA, with the highest package being INR 10-12 LPA. Around 120 students got placed in the college, with top roles offered being MD and MS. Students also got placed as medical officers in government and civil services. The university helps students find top jobs in companies and organizations related to their field by providing placement assistance. The BFUHS placement cell in the Faridkot campus is in charge of all placement-related tasks and prepares students for recruitment drives. The university also offers a variety of programs to develop students' skills and get them ready for impending challenges in the workplace.

Banaras Hindu University is ranked eight among the top university and colleges under the “Medical” category by NIRF 2023 rankings. Moreover, the median package offered to UG course was INR 15 LPA as per BHU NIRF report 2023.

The IMS-BHU has been ranked 5th among medical college in India in the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2022,   second in 2021 by Outlook India and sixth in 2021 by India Today.

Admission is offered based on the score obtained in the NEET UG exam, followed by counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee . The application form for BHU MBBS is made available in the month of June.

The minimum marks required for the MBBS programme depend on the category of a student. The minimum marks required by a student from the General category are different in comparison to students from the OBC, SC and ST categories.

In 2023, the student from the General category required 280 marks and for the OBC category, it went 252. The SC and ST category cut-off went 219 and 189 respectively.
