There is no separate entrance exam for admission into MBBS course of SRM Medical College. The only exam accepted for admission to the MBBS course of the college is NEET (UG). Based on the performance in NEET and the AIQ counselling merit-list, a candidate is given admission in SRM Medical college.

Indeed, in order to be considered for admission to SRM Medical College's MBBS programme, a candidate must pass the NEET (UG) exam. No other entrance exam is acceptable for college admission to the MBBS programme. The only way to fill the slots is through MCC's AIQ counselling. For this counselling, only students who meet the NEET requirements may sign up.

The candidates cannot secure a seat in any government medical college without appearing for the NEET exam. The seats are given based on the score of the NEET. The candidates after giving the NEET Exam need to check the merit list of the college and after clearing the exam the candidates are eligible for counselling. After, the counseling rounds candidates can secure their seats by paying the fees. The score in AIMS for securing a seat for the year 2023 for the general category is around 698. There is no specific number of rounds for the CENTAC MBBS admission process or the CENTAC NEET counselling. In general, there are three to four rounds of counselling conducted by CENTAC. However, in case of vacant seats at a particular course, thecounselling authorities may decide to conduct additional rounds till the time the admission process is completed for each participating colleges.
