MCA itself covers most of the theoretical aspects of networking. Now having got a basic fundamental in computers thru these courses, it is more important to go for practical implementation, for that it is necessary to take up a job in the relevant field. Even if the salary package is low, you need to take a job, so that you get your expertise in that field. Along with a job, you can do many courses which can supplement your field of expertise. After MCA, you need not go for a full time course.

Your best option is to go for distance MCA course. You can try doing MCA in IGNOU University. The course curriculum is same as that of any regular university, if not better. You can log onto www.ignou.ac.in to download MCA admission forms for February session, 2013. The entire course fee will be somewhat near to Rs.50,000 for the entire three years of the course. You just have to be a graduate to be in this MCA programme and that is it. The genre of graduation does not matter here. So go ahead and apply for this.

It is suggested not to do so, because your basic programming skills are nil, which will cause you difficulties in pursuing MCA. Either study and grab all the basic of programming or pursue BCA+MCA.

Hi,
If your interest area is in computer Science, then pursue MCA if not, then MBA would be suitable to you. If you do MCA without doing BCA you will face problems then because your programming skills are not developed yet. I suggest you to do either MBA or BCA+MCA.

I guess having maths is not at all compulsory in determining whether you will be able to study PGDCA or not. And yes, you can go for lateral entry.
