The admission is entrance-based. Aspirants with a valid TS ICET score become eligible for admission. Based on the score in the entrance exam, students are called for the counselling round, during which the seat allotment is carried out. Candidates must check the course-specific eligibility conditions and complete the TS ICET application procedure.

A pass in bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST). Candidates with not less than 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST) with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Programming or Computer Applications or Business Statistics as optional or electives is required to apply for MCA. Candidates who have studied and passed one of the specified subjects in the pre-University course with 50% marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.

Aspirants can apply by applying on the university application portal (kashmiruniversity.net). The university offer admission on the basis of applicants’ academic performance, aggregate in the last qualifying exam, and seat intake.
