Based on the previous year's TANCET colleges, there are as many as three Government Aided Engineering Colleges that offer MBA and MCA admission based on TANCET scores. List of these TANCET colleges are as follows:
1) PSG College of Technology
2) Coimbatore Institute of Technology
3) Thiagarajar College of Engineering
Besides the above mentioned TANCET colleges, DTE may introduce additional Government Aided Engineering colleges for admission in Tamil Nadu.

Departments of the following Universities accept TANCET scores for MBA and MCA admission:
1) Anna University
2) Annamalia University
3) University of Madras
4) Bharathiar University
5) Bharathidasan University
6) University College of Engineering
7) Mother Teresa Women's University
The list of universities above is based on previous years list of TANCET colleges. With the upcoming admission session, list of university may or may not change. The number of colleges accepting TANCET scores change from year to year based on the recognition of colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. Based on the previous year's admission details, a total of 230 colleges offer admissions based on TANCET scores. These colleges offer MBA or MCA admission. Several colleges offer both MBA and MCA courses. These 230 colleges included
1) Government Engineering Colleges
2) Government Aided Engineering Colleges
3) University Departments
4) Self-Financing Engineering Colleges
5) Stand Alone Institutions.

No. Students can study a two-year MCA course at BMS College of Engineering. However, the college accepts admission to this PG course through entrance exams only. The college accepts KMAT or Karnataka PGCET for MCA. Below are the course highlights:
