MCA eligibility:
Any graduate who has passed or is appearing for the final year degree examination in any discipline (science, commerce, arts, engineering or any approved university) is eligible to apply. Candidates must have mathematics as a subject in their 10+2 course or any one year of graduation.

MCA after BCA has become compulsory these days. The main reason is basically so much technical graduates are there that the pressure and competition is more. Therefore, to secure a high profile high salaried job, masters has become mandatory. With that being said there is also scope of good placement in BCA only.

The candidate should have passed graduate degree with any desire subject from a reputed University or equivalent qualification and the candidate must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in their examination. 55% aggregate marks for reserved categories. Candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for MCA exam. There is no backlogs at the time of appearing for this exam, if you have any backlogs then you are not eligible to apply for this examination.
