It is not mandatory that you must have a BCA degree, you can do MCA without BCA.

Hello,
MCA course is required to have a Bachelors degree in Computer science, Information Science, etc. from a recognized university. The student who applying for MCA should have studied maths as the main subject at (10+2) level are only eligible. The candidates have passed with minimum 50% to 60% aggregate from the Qualified Examination.
FEE Structure
As per the Universities, the qualified student can pay with the University norms the fee would be Scheduled. The Actual Fee for the course will be Rs. 40,000per year.

You must have mathematics as one of the subjects at (10+2) level or at graduate level examination.
5% relaxation to candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only. Marks - 50%
Admissions:
80% of the seats are filled through centralized admission process (CAP) conducted by DTE based on the rank obtained in MAH-MCA-CET.
Remaining 20% seats will be filled at institute level on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2.

Yes, MCA is available in Fergusson College. But taking admission here is very difficult as the cut-off is high as per your graduation marks.
You can try for direct admission in Fergusson or VIT College in Pune.

It is all about your interest. But, it is better, you should choose BCA MCA from PES University rather than doing B.Tech from an average colleges.
B.Tech will be better, only if you got good government colleges, otherwise you'll only spend without any good reward.
Your average placement will be around INR 3 lacs with any average colleges, and you have to spend around INR 5 lacs, but if you opt for BCA MCA, then within 5 year you'll get your Master's degree with INR 4 lacs average placement and your spend will around INR 3 lacs.
