According to the placement report 2023, a total of 58 students were placed during KJ Somaiya College of Engineering placements. A decrese of nearly 36% was observed in the number of Mechanical Engineering students when compared to 2022. A fluctuating trend was observed in the number of students placed in the last three years. National Engineering College (NEC) in Kovilpatti, Tamil Nadu has a separate placement center dedicated to the training and placement of the students. The students are prepared for on-campus placement drives. The functional Skill Development program and Personal Counseling sessions are arranged by the Placement Cell. In my opinion, CSE should be the best option as it covers various IT fields it will give a wonderful image of the numerous possibilities in IT fields. Now you have a lot of business ideas, by studying CSE your views get a wider angle or you will get some additional ideas. Remember that IT fields are inevitable for any entrepreneurship. The placements are very good in VIT. About 98% students got placed and the remaining will go for abroad for higher studies. And the highest package is 70 LPA Average package is 5 LPA.

Almost 20-30% of the students got placed in the mechanical course. The average salary package offered is close to 10 LPA. L&T, Tech Mahindra, etc. , are the top companies. Almost 50 to 60% of the students from our batch got internships at Royal Enfield and other companies.
