Candidates seeking admission in any course can apply either online mode or offline mode. The application fee is INR 690/-. It is a Private Institute affiliated to University of Rajasthan. They also offer scholarships on the basis of reservations and merit list. The basic criteria for admission into the degree programmes is Biotechnology Eligibility-cum-Scholarship Test (BEST) .

It is programme for obtaining a diploma in medical laboratory technology (DMLT) is provided by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS). The medical laboratory technology (MLT) field is taught to students in the two-year undergraduate DMLT programme.

The Dr. B. Lal Institute of Biotechnology's (BIBT) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) course costs INR 45,000. However, the fees for M.Sc. at BIBT is INR 1.40 Lacs, whereas for B.Sc. the fees is INR 2 Lacs. Merit-based admission is used to select students for the courses.

For Diploma in medical technology (DMLT) at Dr. B lal Institute of biotechnology minimum 50% marks are required. The basic requirements for admission to the DMLT programme at BIBT are a 10+2 grade point average of 45% to 50% and PCM/B as a required subject. Candidates for the DMLT Course can choose from a number of specialisations, including those in microbiology, clinical chemistry, clinical biochemistry, radiology, genetics, etc.

At Dr. B lal Institute of biotechnology minimum 55 percent marks are required for Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology course to take admission, the admission is completely merit-based. The eligibility for Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology is Class 12 from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology as compulsory subjects and a minimum of 45 percent aggregate.
