With a 45 percentile in MHT CET PCM, securing a seat in a good data Science engineering programme in Thane, especially in a top-tier college, is highly unlikely. While you might find some private colleges that accept lower scores, the competition for data science, a popular and competitive field, is intense, and a 45 percentile falls far short of the cutoff scores for most reputable institutions.

A JEE Main score of 70 percentile may not be sufficient for admission to Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in top-tier institutions like IITs and NITs, as the cutoffs for these branches are typically much higher. Regarding the comparison with MHT CET, a 70 percentile in JEE Main indicates a score higher than the MHT CET, which is another state-level entrance exam.
