B.Tech at I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University is quite a popular course among the students. I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University - Mohali Campus offers two types of B.Tech courses namely B.Tech Civil Engineering and B.Tech Civil Engineering (Lateral Entry). So, for B.Tech Civil Engineering, the maximum number of seats they have is 60 in a campus. And the seats for B.Tech Civil Engineering (Lateral Entry) are as per the University's guidelines. IKGPTU offers Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 3 fields (Operation Management, Finance and Marketing). The duration of the course is 2 years with the fees of almost 1 lac per year. However, students get placed in highly reputed companies like TCS, Bajaj Allianz, Insurance Dekho, Infosys and many more with an average package of 8 LPA. Yes, the I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University - Mohali Campus provides 100% placements to its students and the students are placed in highly reputed universities with a good package. Most of the Placements are done from B.Tech, BCA and B.Arch courses which makes these courses really popular among the University students.

As IKGPTU is a Premier State Government Institute, the fees (per semester) is on the medium side (Not too high, not too low) if we relate it to other colleges who offers courses in IT, Architecture and Planning etc. Per semester fee is around 52K and the course duration is 5 years (10 semesters). While taking admission into this, students have to pay approx.10K more which includes the Security and other charges. However, the University reserves the right to change the amount of fees.

IKGPTU is the runned by the State Government of Punjab. It has various campuses all over Punjab. However, B.Arch is among the most pursued courses by students throughout. Though, it's average package for this programme is upto 7 - 8 lacs at Mohali Campus II and it can go upto 16.5 - 17 lacs per annum.
