At the undergraduate level, the Institute of Fashion and Communication Technology offers a three-year full-time BSc programme to students. At the postgraduate level, the college offers two-year full-time MSc and MBA programmes to students. IISER students can avail the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana scholarship a National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Department of Science and Technology has decided to subsume KVPY with Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE). The placement data for IISER 2023 has not yet been made official. Earlier, at the IISER placements 2022, 3 of the 169 BSc graduates were placed. 2 of the 139 BSc students were placed successfully in 2021. Admission to the BS-MS (Dual Degree) programme at IISER Mohali is done through three different admissions processes: SCB, KVPY, and IIT JEE Advanced.
