The college life in NID Gandhinagar is very good because of its good infrastructure, it's maintenance, it's resdintial/hostel facilities and its overall hygiene and the medical staff in the emergency situations. Overall it has a very good life as it provides extracurricular activities like sports, events, etc. 
When it comes to education the college is one of the best National Institute of design University in India. It has entrance level exam called NAT. The faculty members are very experienced.

The National Institute of Gandhinagar is very good for Master of Design (M.des) as the NID Gandhinagar falls under directly to government of India. If you campare the average packages over the years and if you consider the course fee structure, then it is one of the good NID in India The masters course from an NID woud get attention to your CV or Resume, even if you try for off campus placements. The highest package for a M.Des is INR  46 LPA .
Fee strucutre according to the management is INR 10 LPA .
The college has more than 80 precent placements in 2022-2023

The admission enrollment process in NID is based on the NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test) scores. If you have scored the eliglible marks for your category then you can continue for the next step.
The DAT is a National level enterance test with two levels- Prelims and Mains 
The eligible criteria for appearing in the exam would be completion of a 4 year degree in a government accepted Board or college.

The top courses offered by NID Gandhinagar are Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of  Design (M.Des)
In order to complete M.Des, you should complete B.Des, so both are essential.

The last date to apply for NID DAT 2024 with regular fee is December 1; with late fees, application will be accepted up to December 3.

Admission is based on a weightage given to results of both the Prelims and the Mains examinations. NID Prelim exams generally happen in the last week of December / First week of January every year. The results of the NID Prelims exams are declared around March. Shortlisted students may attend NID Mains.

Yes, NID DAT results are accepted at all National Institute of Design campuses, including those in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Assam.

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited university with a bachelor's degree in any field. Applicants may also apply for admission if they have completed a full-time diploma program in design, fine arts, applied arts, or architecture for at least four years at an accredited university.

The highest package in NID Gandhinagar is escalating from INR 36 LPA in 2021 to a good more profitable INR 46 LPA in 2022. NID Gandhinagar offers 7 specializations in M.Des. These are the most popular branches at NID Gandhinagar including Industrial Design, Communication Design, Textile Design, and Apparel Design. The cutoff for M.Des at NID Gandhinagar varies each year based on the number of applicants and the performance of the candidates in the NID Entrance Exam (DAT). The cutoff is generally quite high, and only the top performers in the DAT are admitted to the program.

For example, in the academic year 2023-24, the cutoff for M.Des in Lifestyle Accessory Design was 98.25%, the cutoff for M.Des in Apparel Design was 97.75%, the cutoff for M.Des in New Media Design was 97.25%, and the cutoff for M.Des in Toy and Game Design was 96.75%.
