Hello,
The last merit rank admitted in NIFT-Bangalore in BT-Tech in your category is 449(Common merit rank), hence you cannot get admission in NIFT Bangalore. However, you are eligible for admission in NIFTs located in Patna, Kangra and Jodhpur, because the last admitted ranks of these colleges are 1362, 1517 and 1303 respectively. Good Luck.

Complete your B.S or apply for UCEED when you are in the final year. Give your best in the exam and then if you qualify then you will get NIFT.

You can. Apply for CEED next year and prepare for the exam and give your best. If you score good enough then you can take admission in NIFT. If that isn't available then there are also several other good colleges available too.

There's no objection in studying design after engineering, but NIFT has some eligibility criteria including the age factor. As per the eligibility criteria of NIFT 2018, the maximum age should be 23 years as on October 1, 2017. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP). So, if you fit in the age group eligible for admission, you can then surely sit for the entrance exam.
