Any candidate who wants to enroll in the MFM course of NIFT, Kangra must be an undergraduate degree holder in any discipline from any recognized Institute or University in India. Two critical components of the selection process are General Ability Test (GAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The GAT evaluates the candidates on general aptitude as well as knowledge about the domain, analytical and prudent judgment, while the PI evaluates the candidates on their creativity and imagination as well as resolving problems and communication abilities.

Approximately, the total cost from starting of course to ending of course for MFM at NIFT, Kangra is Rs. 6.46 lakhs. MFM is a two-year course and the money will be taken in installments, or at once depending on your preference. The fee consists of tuition fees, library fees, equipment fees, miscellaneous fees. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in Kangra is considered one of the best NIFT branches. It is because of its curriculum. They offer good courses for both undergraduate and postgraduates in fashion and design fields. The Kangra branch has good faculty and equipment to learn about fashion. They also provide industry exposure to brilliant students, and have good placement, internships and project facilities too. They also have ties with global fashion industries, which helps students learn from the best people.

Placements: You will definitely get a job after being graduated from NIFT, and your portfolio and skills matters. NIFT is a brand, and being a student of this college helps a lot in getting placed, unlike other designing colleges, which you pay a hefty amount for, but you hardly get a job.
A lot of companies approach NIFT. But the placement camps are set in metropolitan areas that's why, students from other campuses have to go to the campus. The average salary package offered was around 4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was around 7-8 LPA. Placements are held in Delhi NC
