National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata is a Government institution which provides various courses for students in the field of fashion designing and management. It stands as a pioneer of fashion training and research .
This is one of the best institutions for the students who really want to pursue fashion designing as career. Here placement opportunities are good, students are allowed to sit in NIFT placements all over centres that increases exposure. The average package is between 3.5 - 4 LPA. Reymonds, Laguna, Silver sparks are some top recruiting companies.

National Institute for Fashion Technology, Kolkata established in 1995, is a government college.
Students who are seeking to get admitted in National Institute for Fashion Technology, Kolkata should have to appear in written exams conducted by NIFT. The written exams are comprises of creative ability test (CAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT) B.Des and M.Des candidates have to appear for both and other candidates need to appear only for GAT . Shorlisted students called for situation test / personal interview.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Kolkata founded in 1995. It is totally a Government college that provides various options for students in field of fashion. The Institution offers various courses on both UG and PG levels with specialisation in fields of design and management. It has good placement opportunities, top most fashion companies come in college to recruit students. National Institute of Kolkata is one of the 17 campuses of NIFT, set up under the ministery of textiles, Government of India and governed by NIFT act 2006.

The National institute of fashion technology, Kolkata offers a plethora of courses among which bachelor's in design is very prominent . The course is of four years and the fees of each year is around 1,67,250, which makes a total sum of 6,69,000 for four years. The hostel fee of the college is around 9,000 per semester which the students are bound to pay before shifting, along with a 23000 in advance. If that doesn't fit in your budget you can also go for outside shelters which would cost you Rs 85000 on an average. Above all the infrastructure and the facilities which the college provides for this particular course is worth every penn

Yes, there is a scholarship called Sarthak and another one called Udaan offered at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata. Both PG and UG applicants are eligible for the scholarship program, which is dependent on the family's annual income.
