No, apart from the subject-wise qualifying degree listed in the brochure, the candidate must also have qualified for any other National Fellowship, GATE, GPAT, or similar, with a minimum of 60% overall or a CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale, whichever the grade is awarded. If the University or Institution has not established a standard for calculating such a percentage or CGPA, the percentage of marks or CGPA so computed will be based on the norms fixed by the concerned University/Institution or the aggregate marks or CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree.

The NIRF Ranking of NIPER Guwahati is 12 and that of LPU is 17.
As per the latest academic reports, PG courses median salary in NIPER is 450000 INR whereas for LPU its 650000 INR. Out of 100 students in NIPER 35 were selected for higher studies but no such opportunity was provided by LPU.
The total tuition fees for a two-year full-time Master of Pharmacy at LPU is around INR 4.80 Lakh. The hostel fees are INR 70,000.
Whereas for NIPER it is as follows:
Gen/ OBC/ EWS: INR 1.05 Lakh sem 1 and INR 53,326 in subsequent semesters.
SC/ST: INR 79,800 sem 1 and INR 27,304 in subsequent semesters.

According to the latest brochure from NIPER Guwahati, under M.Pharma, 2 branches are available- Pharmaceutical Technology (Formulations) 20 seats are available, and in Pharmacy Practice 18 seats are available. The institute has NIRF Ranking 2023 at 12th position under Pharmacy category with an excellent Placement Record of 60.37% male students and 39.63% female students.
