NIPER Mohali offers various PG-level and PhD courses in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The PG-level courses include MS (Pharm), MPharm, M.Tech (Pharm), MBA (Pharm). In all these courses, NIPER reserves seats for various categories as per the prevailing rules of the Government of India. These categories include SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, etc.
Additioanlly, some supernumerary seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the following categories:
- 5% of the seats (over and above the total intake) are reserved for candidates sponsored by the Government Departments/ Research and Development Organisations / Public Sector Undertakings/ Repu

In order to take MS admission at NIPER Mohali, candidates are required to appear for the NIPER JEE conducted by NIPER Guwahati. The entrance exam schedule for 2025 is yet to be released. However, based on the previous years' trends, the application process for NIPER JEE starts around the last week of April. It is expected to continue till May. The exam will be held in June (tentative).

NIPER Mohali offers various PG-level courses in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Instead of an MSc, the institute offers an MS (Pharm.) in various specialisations. These specialisations inlcude Traditional Medicine, Regulatory Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, etc. The course lasts two years. The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab has many good features, including a great infrastructure, internationally recognised faculty, and good placements. However, some say there is room for improvement in placements. As per the students review the hostel food is also boring.
