NIST allows direct admission to the third semester of its BTech programme in all specialisations. The admission criteria for lateral entry is as per the JEE norms for lateral entry. Candidates willing to take lateral entry admission to NIST BTech programme must be eligible as per the following eligibility criteria:

  • A Diploma of a minimum of three years, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category)

or

  • A BSc degree from a UGC-recognised university, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and a pass in Class 12 with Mathematics as a subject

Yes, NIST University has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostels are at the NIST campus. The boys hostel can accomodate1300 students and the girls hostel can accomodate 650 students. The hotels are provided for the entire course duration.
