Each year, NIST admits over 100 students to its BSc courses. The admission is provided based on the applicants' merit in Class 12. The institute may also follow the state/central seat reservation policies for seat allotment. Total BSc seats at NIST are distributed among the seven BSc specialisations offered at the institute. The institute has not released any official data specific to NIST MBA placements. As per the official NIST brochure 2024, the average package offered across various courses (including MBA) offered at NIST is INR 5.1 LPA. The average package at NSIT in 2023 was INR 5.65 LPA. In 2022, the average package across all courses stood at INR 5 LPA.
