The rank should not be higher than 43449 for admission at NIT Silchar for the General AI category in the first round. The NIT Silchar JEE Main cutoff 2026 was announced for round 1 for various All India and Home State quota categories.
For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 12260 to 43449. Hence, candidates with a rank lower than 43449 would have a better chance at admission. See the table below to know the maximum rank accepted by different categories and quotas in the first round.

For the General AI category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 12260 to 43449, with BTech CSE being the toughest course for admission.
