Both NLU Jodhpur and Jaipur National University are reputable institutions with their own strengths and weaknesses. NLU Jodhpur is a National Law University, which means it has a strong focus on legal education. It is consistently ranked among the top law schools in India. Jaipur National University, on the other hand, is a state university that offers a wider range of programs, including law, management, engineering, and computer science. It is also a well-respected institution, but it is not as highly ranked as NLU Jodhpur in terms of law.

There is confusion about the fact that the NLU Jodhpur MBA course is in insurance and insurance risk management with a fee of Rs. 2,35,000/year for two years. Jaipur National University offers an MBA course in dual specialisation and hospital and health care management with fees of Rs. 1,80,500 per year for two years. At NLU, there is no entrance exam for the selection process; it is based on merit. The JNU entrance exam (CAT, MAT, XAT, and CMAT) is clear for the selection process. In NLU, the admissions process is not lengthy, but fees are higher, and in JNU, the fees are lower, but the selection process is tough.
