Yes, it is indeed mandatory to pass the JEE and get into the merit rank list for the college. Another way is when you are a district or state topper in your CBSE exams or equivalent exam. Then you can get a direct selection to the college. All other students who are not toppers have to apply for the JEE. For further details, just visit the NCHMCT website.

Hello Prajwal,
It's not possible to get admission in IHM without your AIR in NCHMCT JEE 2018
You can go through any other private institutions, if you wish to.

The NCHMCT JEE cut-off for general and OBC category is 800 and for SC/ST, it's 400.

I don't think you will have a chance rit now since the last date for application was on 16th . Since it is a minor mistake you can communicate the same to the interview team . after your ranklist arrives. Or I would suggest you send a mail regarding the same to NCHMCT . Or try calling them and ask for advise.
