NEET Admit Card

As per the dates trend of the past few years, the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting authority releases the NEET admit card approximately three to four days before the actual exam date. In the past couple of years, from 2021 to 2023, the NEET admit card or the hall ticket was released approximately three to four days befoe the exam. Prior to that, the admit card was released three to four months in advance. Off late, NTA is releasing the document few days before the exam to avoid malpractices. For the convenience of candidates, NTA releases advance intimation to exam city slip which mentions the state in which the NEET exam centre will be located. 

No, it is not necessary to submit the NEET admit card to the invigilator before leaving the exam centre. Invigilators check the admit card to validate candidates' attendance. They check the photograph, parents' signature and the self declaration form. Candidates are asked to sign in front of the invigilator, who then compares it with the printed signature on the admit card. Before leaving the exam hall, candidates have to submit their test booklet. They can carry the question paper and the NEET admit card outside the exam hall after the exam completion. However, candidates must keep a couple of extra copies of the admit card with them for their convenience. 

Candidates have to put their left-hand thumb impression on the NEET admit card in the space provided. The thumb impression have to be put on the space provided before reaching the exam hall. NTA has not given any instruction regarding the colour of the ink, hence, if a candidate wishes to put the thumb impression with black ink, he/she can do that. However, test-takers must ensure that the thumb impression is put properly on the NEET admit card and it should match the one uploaded in the application form. Moreover, the ink should not be smudged and the impression of the thumb should not be placed anywhere else on the document except the space provided. Also, candidates must ensure that they put their own thumb impression and not anyone else's. In case there is a difference and NTA finds out about this malpractice, the candidate may be disqualified in NEET and he/she would not be eligible to take part in the counselling process even if they qualify for the exam.
