NTA is releasing the NEET city intimation slip or city allotment slip since the past few years. The main purpose of this document is to keep candidates aware of the city in which their NEET exam centre will be located. Since the NEET admit card is released just three to four days before the exam day, it often results into last minute stress for candidates and their family members. To avoid this situation, and to help make them the necessary arrangements for travel/commute, accomodation, calculation of timing or duration, etc. well in advance. This helps them avoid the last minute hassle and stress, and focus only on the NEET exam prepa

Although NTA has not stated whether the photograph on the NEET admit card should be the same as that of the application form. Ideally, candidates should paste the same photograph for convenience, and to avoid any sort of confusion. They must also fulfill the guidelines mentioned by NTA for pasting the photograph in terms of its size, background color, and date of taking the photograph, among others. The photograph on NEET admit card will be verified with candidate's identity card and his/her face before allowing entry. Hence, test-takers must ensure that they use a recent photograph along with fulfilling the other criteria.

The validity of the NEET admit card is one year. Hence, after downloading the NEET UG admit card, candidates must preserve the document till the admission process is over, precisely till the counselling process is over. The NEET admit card or hall ticket is not only required on the day of the exam, but also as a document for the institute reporting of the NEET counselling process. Once the admission process is over, candidates need not preserve the NEET admit card. However, they are advised to preserve it in digilocker just for the records.

If ink has slightly spread then it should not cause any major issue. As long as the thumb impression is mostly clear and contained in the box, a small amount of smudging should not be an issue. The most important things are that it is your left thumb, in blue/black ink, and is legible.

If you still feel any there may be concerns, you can contact NEET helpdesk, or college authorities.

I hope it will help.
