The pupose of defining NEET PG syllabus is just to make candidates know what all they ahve to study for the exam. Syllabus gives them overview of subjects and topics from which questions will be asked in NEET PG exam. The word to word syllabus is not declared for NEET PG by NBE, the exam conducting body. In the official information brochure, NBE says the syllabus will comprise of subject/knowledge area as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations.

The DNB quota simply refers to the reserved seats in NEET PG for the candidates who will pursue DNB (also called Diplomate of National Board) course after completion of MBBS. DNB course is sort of an alternative to MD/ MS courses offered by medical colleges. The DNB quota is offered on the basis of NEET PG score.
