NEET PG

Candidates have to clear the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate, popularly known as NEET PG, to pursue an MD course in India. The NEET PG is the main entrance test for MD admissions in all medical colleges, whether it is government or private. An MBBS degree from any institution, with a minimum of 50 per cent marks, from the respective institute. It should also have the experience of doing one year's internship before that. There are 300 multiple-choice questions and this is done every year in the NEET PG exams. The following exam is scheduled to take place on June 23, 2024. Admission cutoffs are different every year, so applicants should keep themselves updated about what would be required and what scores are needed in particular specializations. 

If you have a rank of 16000 in NEET PG 2024, your chances of getting into the MD in General Medicine programme at Sri Ramachandra Medical College (SRMCRI) are okay, but it might be difficult based on past cutoff scores.

Previous Cutoff Scores:
In 2023, the cutoff for the first round of MD General Medicine was about 15274, and for the second round, it was around 10459. This means your rank of 16000 is slightly higher than the last known cutoff for the first round in 2023.
In 2022, the cutoff for the first round of MD General Medicine was 10269. The competition is very strong.

Seat Information: The MD General Medicine programme at SRMCRI has 24 seats, which are filled based on NEET PG ranks during centralized counseling.

Admission Process: Admission is done through NEET PG counseling. During this process, seats are assigned to candidates based on their rank and preferences.

The Institute of Aerospace Medicine in Bangalore provides an MD in Aerospace Medicine. The admission here is via NEET PG examination, and the ranks for getting admission may be different each year, primarily depending upon the number of aspirants and seat availability in the given program. In some previous years, candidates have been shortlisted with their NEET PG ranks within 25,000 marks. Apply through registration and appearing in the NEET PG exam. Subsequently, once you get the score, you will undergo the counseling process conducted either by DGHS or concerned state authorities, and fill IAM as your preference. Upon allotment of a seat, you need to complete admission formalities.
