Yes, OBC candidates with a good rank in NEET PG can compete for seats in any state through the All India Quota (AIQ) scheme. The OBC category has a 27% reservation in AIQ seats for NEET PG.
Here are some other reservation criteria for NEET PG:
Scheduled Castes (SC): 15% reservation
Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% reservation
Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% reservation
Persons with Disabilities (PwD): 5% reservation
The Supreme Court has also ruled that meritorious SC/ST/OBC candidates who make it to the merit list are eligible for open seats in the general class.

The NEET PG cutoff for admission to the MD Psychiatry programme at the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, varies by year and category. For the year 2024, the expected cutoff ranks are as follows:
- General Category: Around rank 7500
- OBC: Around rank 13680
- EWS: Around rank 11970
- SC: Around rank 22490
- ST: Around rank 37090
- General-PH: Around rank 93450.

With a rank of 39,169 and a score of 465 in NEET PG 2024, your chances of securing a seat in Dermatology or Radiology at Mayo Medical College or Hind Medical College are likely slim. Both these specialties tend to have some really high competitive cut-offs, especially for the already established colleges. The cutoff of Radiology for the best colleges is very low here and ranges between 100-400 in terms of rank for the popular institutions.

It would be quite difficult to make way into the Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics with a rank of *60693* in *NEET PG 2024*, as this branch is very competitive. Thus admission is going to depend on several parameters, such as category (General, OBC, SC/ST), reservation policies, cut-offs of the college, and the availability of seats. Do check the particular cut-off ranks of the colleges you wish to apply to. High ranks generally get difficult courses but if you still wish to pursue G&O, you may have to try other options, such as private colleges, or wait for later rounds of counseling.

Panjab University NEET PG cutoff 2024 was out for its Round 1. The cutoff was released category-wise for reserved and unreserved candidates. The Round 1 closing ranks for the General All India category was closed between 119 and 47483. Therefore, at 25000 rank in NEET PG exam, admission to the college is possible. MCC announced revised dates and schedule for NEET PG 2025 counselling including including round-1 seat allotment. Seat allotment final result for round-1 was announced on November 22, 2025 following provisional result declared a day before. Counselling result was uploaded online in PDF format.
