The NEET counselling process conducted for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be conducted primarily for the MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses. For the State NEET counselling rounds, the courses for admission are MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS courses. Some of the State NEET UG Counselling authorities also conduct admission for the Allied Courses such as BPTH, BoTH, BNYS, BASLP, etc. The courses may vary from state to state, but the MBBS and BDS courses are common all across. Candidates reporting to the allocated institute for confirmation of the seat must carry the following documents with them: 

  • NEET admit card
  • NEET result or score card
  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
  • Valid, non-expired and government-issued photo ID proof
  • Six to eight passport-sized photographs
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • NEET Gap Certificate (if applicable)
  • Provisional allotment letter

Candidates must carry both original and photocopies of the above-mentioned documents to the institutes where they have been allotted seats for the final admission process.

To retrieve the forgotten NEET counselling registration password, the candidate have to enter the information that he/she filled at the time of registration and then security question and answer have to be entered as given during New Candidate registration process. The above data submitted by the candidate will be validated with the registered candidates database. If the above entries match, then only the candidate would be permitted to enter new password to proceed further.

The NEET counselling registration fee varies for different candidate categories. For the AIQ seats and Central Universities, the fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,000 and for the SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates, the fee is INR 500. For participating in the NEET counselling process for Deemed Universities, the registration fee for all category candidates is INR 5,000. The registration fee is non-refundable. The eligibility criteria to participate in the NEET counselling process is given below:

a. They must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) by securing the cutoff marks as per their category

b. They must be registered on the official website of MCC

c. All candidates, including candidates from the UT of J&K, can participate in the counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities.

Yes, it is true that the state cut off often reduces by 3-4 marks during the mop up round of NEET UG counselling.

Yes, you can do choice filling in round 2 of NEET UG counselling. MCC regulations state that you do not have to re-register if you already registered for Round 1. MCC will then release the lists of students who were assigned to medical and dental colleges for round 2. After this round, a fresh process for the mop-up round of NEET UG will be done by MCC. This process is the same for state NEET counselling too.
