There are a total of three to four rounds of Maharashtra NEET UG counselling. These rouds are known as:

  • First Round Counselling or Round 1 Counselling
  • Second Round Counselling or Round 2 Counselling
  • Third Round Counselling or Mop-up Round Counselling
  • Fourth Round Counselling or Stray Vacancy Round Counselling

The number of rounds of counselling will vary depending on the seat vacacy.

Yes, after the declaration of the Maharashtra NEET counselling seat allotment result, candidates will be given the option to upgrade the seat choice. Based on that, the counselling authorities will upgrade the seats based on the choices entered by candidates, in case the desired seat is vacant after the institute reporting process is concluded.

Yes, it is mandatory to carry the original documents at the institute reporting process of the Maharashtra NEET UG counselling process. Although candidates can carry the photocopies as a backup, but during document verification, they will have to present the original documents.

The list of documents required for the Maharashtra NEET UG counselling are given below:

·        NEET 2025 scorecard

Yes, candidates belonging to other states apart from Maharashtra are also eligible to participate in the NEET UG counselling. However, while filling the registration form for Maharashtra NEET UG counselling, they must not select the Maharashtra domicile category. Only those belonging to the Maharashtra state should select the state domicile category. Rest of the candidates may select the NRI category or other than Maharashtra state category and provide the documents accordingly.

The official website for Maharashtra NEET UG counselling is cetcell.mahacet.org/admissions. Upon landing on this page, candidates will have to click on the section NEET UG under the Under Graduate Courses tab. Therein, they will get the important notifications, documents, registration and login windows. It is expected that the official website URL for the Maharashtra NEET UG counselling 2024 will be the same as last year.

The MCC conducts the centralised NEET UG Counselling round-wise. Every year, the MCC releases the round-wise Seat Allotment results for Round 1, 2, Mop-Up Round and Stray Vacancy Round. Only candidates with a NEET UG scores are allowed to be a part of NEET UG Counselling. Candidates clearing the NEET cutoff are allotted a seat in the medical or dental colleges. The courses offered through NEET UG scores are MBBS- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery across the medical and dental colleges.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) released the results of the NEET 2023 counselling Special Stray Vacancy round on November 10. Up to 302 applicants have been given seats for MBBS, BDS, and BSc nursing. Up until November 15, the institute reporting process was carried out. The applicant must be a citizen of India and must have qualified NEET 2025. The candidate must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, he/she must have studied for a period of seven years from a government school located in Karnataka, or must have studied for a period of seven years from an institute located in Karnataka. His/her either of the parents should be domiciled in Karnataka and his/her parent's mother tongue should be Kannada/Tulu/Kodava.
