Deciding between Fordham and NYU depends on students' personal preferences in terms if tuition fees, location, community feel, and academic focus. If students prefer a traditional campus experience and a tight-knit community, Fordham may be a better fit. But, if students are looking for a more urban, independent, and career-focused experience, then NYU may be a better fit.

When writing an essay for NYU, applicants are requested to show that they are unique from the other lot of people. Students must highlight why they chose this university over the others. Considering that NYU is a USA university, they would want to know about the students' personal experiences and achievements that demonstartes how well the applicant is in achivements, as well as their approch. Applicants must be concise, focused, and genuine in their writing and not boast about themselves. Students must proof read before submitting.

Applying in early decision to NYU can surely increase the chances of admission. It demonstartes a very strong commitment to the university, which will provide a good opinion to the examiner. However, while it increases your acceptance rate but that surely dosn't gaurentee the admission. Hence applicants should give their best and do their best.

NYU sees various things in an individual profile for MS in CS course such as Work experience, LOR's, GRE scores, individual ability, and the courses students choose in ther undergraduate degree . However, considering that the course is very technical, students must have hands on hackathons, coding, hacking (if they are applying for cybersecurity course) and web development. Students can have experience in some of the fields mentioned above to have a good profile and to get into NYU. But students also must meet the below requirement to get into the university:

Yes, NYU accepts Duolingo. Note that New York University does not have minimum score requirements, but the competitive applicants have:

  • 130 and above on Duolingo English Test

Test scores in other equivalent ELP tests are:

  • 100 and above on TOEFL iBT
  • 7.5 and above on IELTS Academic
  • 70 and above on PTE
