Aspirants need to pass Class 12 with English as one of the languages with at least 45% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Electronics or Computer (40% aggregate for SC, ST, Cat-I, 2A, 2B and 3B) to apply for NIE Institute of Technology BE course. Aspirants applying through Management Quota must complete Class 12 with a minimum of 55% aggregate.

Candidates need to fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria for admission. The criteria is slightly different for Management Quota seats. Below is course-wise eligibility for NIE Institute of Technology:

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech at NIE Institute of Technology in Mysore are as follows:
Candidates should have passed the 2nd year PUC or 10+2 exam or equivalent exam with English as one of the languages.
