Yes, it is important to appear for the NIFT Entrance Exam (GAT) for admission to the MFM course at NIFT Hyderabad. Not only NIFT Hyderabad, but every NIFT in India offering MFM courses only accepts the scores of NFTEE (GAT) for admissions. Moreover, on the basis of scores candidates achieved in the entrance exam, the college releases the merit and conducts personal interviews as the final admission step. NIFT examination is a computer-based test which has a duration of 120 minutes, with language preference between English/Hindi.

NIFT Hyderabad only accepts the scores of the NIFT entrance exam for admissions to the MFM course. The institute does not accept the score of UCEED for admission to MFM courses. However, UCEED is widely accepted into several institutions, which offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Designing and Fashion Management. However, if a candidate is planning to get admissions into NIFT Hyderabad or any NIFT, they are required to prepare for NIFTEE, not for UCEED.
