The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) offers a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme with specializations like fashion design, textile design, accessory design, and communication design. However, NIFT does not have a dedicated B.Des course in interior design. Students interested in interior design often choose related programs like lifestyle accessory design or pursue specialised interior design courses from institutes like NID (National Institute of Design), Pearl Academy, or Srishti School of Design. If interior design is your primary goal, exploring these institutes or architecture colleges with design-oriented programs

The deadline to apply for the NIFT B.Des entrance exam 2025 was January 6, 2025 for on-time submission, without any applicable additional fee. If one didn't make the application by that date, you still had the chance to apply until January 9, 2025, however, you would then need to pay a late fee of INR 5,000.
After January 9th NIFT typically doesn't extend to receive any additional applications. So for any of you, who would like to plan for next year or a future session just remember — NIFT closes its forms always in early January, its probably better to apply a little bit early if you are worried about the late fees!

You cannot get into NIFT right after 10th. NIFT courses like B.Des or B.FTech need 10+2 or an equivalent pass. There's no admission after 10th. You will need to complete your 12th, then apply and write the NIFT entrance exam. Cut-offs change each year based on rank and campus.
